Prof. Dr. Gesa Ziemer

Gesa Ziemer (Prof. Dr. phil.) is professor for cultural theory (in the department Metropolitan Culture) and vice president of research at HafenCity University Hamburg. She is the speaker of the artistic-academic postgraduate programme „Performing Citizenship“ and the academic coordinator of the Digital City Science Lab, a cooperation between HCU and MIT.

She is a regular guest lecturer at Zurich University of the Arts and at Lucerne School of Art and Design. She is a board member of Böll Foundation umdenken, Lucerne School of Art and Design, Arts in Urban Space Ruhr and Choreografisches Zentrum PACT Zollverein Essen.
