Inga Wellmann

Inga Wellmann is an intermediary with educational background in mixed media arts and cultural management. She has always worked at the intersection of arts, economy, science, and the public sphere, developing formats of inspirational exchange, writing about governance issues, and shaping strategies for public administrations on how to deal with the transformative potential of new work cultures.

Since 2010 she is heading the department of arts and creative industries at the Ministry of Culture, City of Hamburg. Her target lies in fostering cross-innovation between new and established systems of thought and practice, enabling the development of socially and culturally viable solutions to urban challenges.
