Christian was born in Tahiti and founded MakeSense in France, an Ashoka-alum open-source platform for online and offline collaboration that allows any social entrepreneur to submit a challenge to be solved by the global community of MakeSense entrepreneurs. For 4 years, MakeSense mobilized more than 20,000 volunteers in a 100+ cities to help 900 entrepreneurs.
MakeSense created the Paris-based SenseCube, the first community-based accelerator program for social start-ups which was recently endorsed by Anne Hidalgo, the Mayor of Paris. MakeSense creates an ecosystem of public and private partners working with these start-ups for a collective global impact. They also run SenseCamps and SenseSchools to crowdsource and accelerate solutions in cities around the world.
