Kii, the leading Internet of Things (IoT) cloud platform provider, has partnered with Haltian, a company based in Oulu, Finland that specializes in the development of IoT devices, to showcase the #1 starter kit for Internet of Things developers called “Thingsee” at the MLOVE Confestival in Hamburg, Germany. Thingsee was successfully launched on Kickstarter, to create a state-of-the-art IoT device and multiple solutions aimed at consumers and businesses.
Kii and Haltian combined their respective platforms into one package that allows the Thingsee to work in conjunction with Kii Cloud, marrying APIs and SDKs, with a highly-scalable backend that simplifies the complexity of building out servers and infrastructure.
Haltian’s Thingsee IoT device platform has over 12 different connectivity and sensor functions including GPS, 3D accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, temperature, humidity, pressure and ambient light. Its wireless connectivity, with cellular, WLAN and future proof Bluetooth LE 4.1, provides outstanding characteristics, including the delivery of ultra-long battery life up to one year and waterproof IP67 protection. These combinations of features provide the developer community with an advanced, next-generation IoT development platform.
